The head headache is mainly caused for low glucose levels in the brain (Well in other cases is caused by just fatigue or maybe a physical or chemical disorder). This low sugar level is caused by alimentary disorders, like don´t eat at your hours or don´t eat enought or don´t eat the correct thinks. Sugar girl, for cure or at least mitigate the headache you need eat sugar, a coke is a good option originally coke has developed like medicine for the headache. Sugar in other forms may work, for example in a caramel or a coffe.

If this don´t work, go to the bed, but make this, put all your body over pillows exept your head, your head must be under the level of your body, in this way will be more easy for your circulatory system move the blood to your brain. Remember the archimides principle, the liquids tend to stay at the same level no matter the shape of the contaner.

This last can cure bad headache, but you can´t do this all the day an is unconfortable after a time, but is usefull many times.

Of course if the problem is worst, go to the doctor.

There is a very effective process called bio-feedback. In the case of a headache, try the following:

Lie down on a pillow that fully supports your neck, and allows your head to rest slightly lower. Take deep, relaxing breaths. Next, begin to relax each part of your body, beginning at the top of your body and work down. Relax each and every part, and then take the relaxion further. For example, when you have relaxed your shoulders, relax tham again and again until there is absolutely no more you can do.

Then, imagine that there is a warm fluid - like honey in your head. Imagine it flowing downward, into your shoulders, arms, fingers, then to all of your extremities. Feel the warmth as it flows and penetrates.

If you were hooked up to monitors, as you would be in a bio-feedback session, you would actually see a rise in temperature in the extremities.

What you are actually doing is drawing blood away from your head to other parts of your body. This releases the tension and muscle contractions that cause headaches.

I suffer from migraines. I did not believe in this theory until I actually did it. It doesn't work 100% of the time, and sometimes, I end up taking an injection of Imatrex. Yes, you can get a prescription for the injectable form of it. It is administered in a "stat pen", which is quick and easy, and for me, a guaranteed 20 minute relief.

Good luck!

Acupressure therapy. You can find how here http://www.soundtells.com/Acupressure/index.html but this one is even better http://www.chinese-holistic-health-exercises.com/acupressure-for-relieving-headaches.html

I learned it from my ex who was an Acupressure Therapist. He never used drugs either.

Or just google Acupressure or Acupressure for Headaches.

There are actually other acupressure (same as acupuncture) points that can be used depending on where the headache is, but it is too difficult to try and teach here. If you don't want to use drugs you might look into acupressure therapy as it truly works on so many pains and ailments, even getting rid of hiccups quickly ;) and it is something you can do on yourself where acupuncture is not.

Eat something. I get headaches when I don't eat because my blood sugar crashes. Try to eat something with sugar. Often times it's caused with sugar withdrawal. If I were you, I'd try to drink some Gatorade or a diet soda.

Try lying down and putting a warm wet washcloth across your forehead. That is about all you can do without any Tylenol, etc. to get rid of it besides going on to bed. Hope you feel better soon.

What I usually do is I lie down in a quiet, dimly lit/dark place, close my eyes, and massage my temples. I'll also have a cup of decaf green tea with honey sometimes.

I used to get head aches for so long. But if you get them sometimes, but not often, here's a simple trick. Sleeping is great, for one, but if you don't have time, try and get some ice or cold water, and put it on your fingers, and then rub your eyes.

But if you are getting them frequently, I just want to say that it is probably due to a problem with your jaw, and you might want to have a dentist look at it. (Trust me)

Put your thumb in the roof of your mouth and keep as still as possible.. after 5-10 seconds gently massage your temples in circles, move inwards and outwards. Same if on any other spot of head... Good luck, hope you feel better

Cold wash cloth on your forehead. Lie in a dark room.

Put the wash cloth in the freezer for 10 minutes after you wet it. It'll last longer that way.

Have you tried chiropractic before? Chiropractic can help because most of the time a headache is caused by bones being out of alignment. Here are some typical types and mroe information about them: CLUSTER HEADACHE Cluster headaches affect one side of the head (unilateral) and may be associated with tearing of the eyes and nasal congestion. They occur in clusters, happening repeatedly every day at the same time for several weeks and then remitting. Cluster headaches are a fairly common form of chronic, recurrent headache. Unlike migraines, they affect men more often than women. They can affect people of any age but are most common between adolescence and middle age. There does not seem to be a pattern among families in the development of cluster headaches. Cluster headaches occur as a severe, sudden headache. The onset is sudden, and it occurs most commonly during the dreaming (REM) phase of sleep. Cluster headaches may occur daily for months, alternating with periods without headaches (episodic), or they can occur for a year or more without stopping (chronic). A person may experience alternating chronic and episodic phases. SYMPTOMS .SWELLING UNDER OR AROUND THE EYES .RED EYE (ON THE AFFECTED SIDE) .FLUSHED FACE .EXCESSIVE TEARS (ON THE AFFECTED SIDE) .RUNNY NOSE OR NASAL CONGESTION .BEGINS SUDDENLY .PAIN COMMONLY BEGINS 2 TO 3 HOURS AFTER FALLING ASLEEP AND IS STEADY, SHARP, OR BURNING. CHARACTERISTICALLY OCCURS ON ONE SIDE OF THE HEAD AND MAY OCCUR IN AND AROUND ONE EYE. MAY INVOLVE ONE SIDE OF THE FACE FROM NECK TO TEMPLES. PAIN QUICKLY GETS WORSE, PEAKING WITHIN 5 TO 10 MINUTES AND PEAK MAY LAST ONE-HALF TO 2 HOURS. TENSION HEADACHE A condition involving pain or discomfort in the head, scalp, or neck, usually associated with muscle tightness in these areas. Tension headaches are one of the most common forms of headache. They can occur at any age, but are most common in adults and adolescents. If a headache occurs two or more times weekly for several months or longer, the condition is considered chronic. Tension headaches result from the contraction of neck and scalp muscles. One cause of this muscle contraction is a response to stress, depression or anxiety. Any activity that causes the head to be held in one position for a long time without moving can cause a headache. Such activities include typing or use of computers, fine work with the hands, and use of a microscope. Sleeping in a cold room or sleeping with the neck in an abnormal position can also trigger this type of headache. Other causes include spinal misalignment, eye strain, fatigue, alcohol use, excessive smoking, excessive caffeine use, sinus infection, nasal congestion, overexertion, colds, and influenza. Tension headaches are not associated with structural lesions in the brain. SYMPTOMS DULL PAIN, PRESSURE-LIKE GENERALIZED PAIN, WORSE IN THE SCALP, TEMPLES OR BACK OF THE NECK NOT ONE SIDED FEELS LIKE A TIGHT BAND OR VISE ON THE HEAD OCCURS AS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT (OR OCCURS CONSTANTLY OR DAILY) WORSENED OR TRIGGERED BY STRESS, FATIGUE, NOISE, GLARE, ETC. SLEEP DISTURBANCES MIGRAINE HEADACHES Common migraine is a disorder involving recurrent headaches, which may be accompanied by symptoms other than headache but which rarely include a preliminary warning (called an aura). Migraine headaches affect about 6 out of 100 people. They are a common type of chronic headache. They most commonly occur in women and usually begin between the ages of 10 and 46. In some cases, they appear to run in families. Migraines occur when blood vessels of the head and neck spasm or constrict, which decreases blood flow to the brain. Minutes to hours later, the blood vessels dilate (enlarge), resulting in a severe headache. Inflammation around the blood vessels also occurs in some cases. Common migraine may be accompanied by symptoms other than headache but only rarely includes any preceding symptoms (aura). Migraines may also appear as classic migraine (a migraine preceded by other symptoms) and other rare forms. Multiple mechanisms trigger the spasm and subsequent blood vessel dilation. SYMPTOMS .THROBBING, PULSATING PAIN .VERTIGO .NAUSEA .FATIGUE .DIZZINESS .LOSS OF APPETITE .VOMITING .NECK PAIN .PAIN SOMETIMES MAY BE WORSE ON THE SIDES OF THE FOREHEAD; BE ON ONLY ONE SIDE OF THE FOREHEAD; BE SEVERE OR DULL; AND COMMONLY LASTS 6 TO 48 HOURS I hope this helps.
