Lost some weight and now I have noticed a Severe indentation on my lower back/hip region, which is not on the other side. The other side has muscle, while it seems like the left side is soft and indents. I do have pain surrounding the area, just on the side of the indentation. I am doing Boot Camp and it seemed to come up recently. Went to the Dr and they said they have never seen this before. Any thoughts?

We all have a 'dominate' side, usually we are right handed, some are left handed, the one we use with ease is our dominate side. So when we start to exercise, we always lead with the dominate side. For example, you are give two identical weight to lift off the floor, which one do you pick up first? The dominant side one. You are at boot camp, loosing weight, putting muscle on, so one side is 'advanced' already has muscle, the dominant side, while the other side is not so advanced, as it is not the dominant side. However eventually it will catch up. Best of Luck

i don't know what they are exactly but MANY girls have them. just a few inches above your butt? my boyfriend calls them butt dimples! they're common, and harmless, no worries.

have they done an MRI? Could be spina bifida occulta.
