Do you have anti-fatigue mats at work? Support stockings will help as well as orthotics from a licensed podiatrist. All that standing is hard on your circulation, that is why I recommend support hose. Not just the support No Nonsense type. Go to the medical support stockings in your local drugstore. You'll find them with the foot pads and generic arch supports. A few years ago I was having fits with my feet and went to a podiatrist and he gave me foot exercises, taped my feet to support my arches and after about a month of the weighted exercises (ankle weights), he made molds of my feet and had custom made fiberglass supports made. My feet, legs, and back have been very happy ever since. There are products you can get at sporting goods stores, like Superfeet, which I have used in my hiking boots. There is also a chain of stores called Neovita which sell orthotics. But their system is REALLY pricey, and the stores are run by salespeople, not trained podiatrists. Try the Superfeet first along with the "heavy duty" medical support stockings first. If that doesn't work check in with a licensed doctor of podiatric medicine.

Sounds like plantar fasciitis, you can see a podiatrist for it.

try reflexology....most spas offer it. what it is, is points on the hands, feet, and ears that correspond with different organs, organ systems or body parts on or in your body. your foot might hurt in that one place due to something totally different...check it out!

It can be a bone spur, and the best thing to do is go to a Podiatrist, that is a foot Doctor, who is going to help you and give you something for the pain. More important you will know what needs to be done an how to treat it.
